Using the Persuasion Matrix

This session introduces participants to The Persuasion Matrix, a communication planning tool introduced in Persuasive. The audience will learn about the persuasion research that undergirds the tool and how the matrix has been applied in numerous successful campaigns. Marrianne offers a 45-minute presentation, or can lead a longer workshop format in which participants use the Matrix workbook to start crafting their own communication plan.

Communications Management

Top Five Writing Problems and How to Solve Them 

This session is helpful for any group of professionals who are facing significant writing projects. Most common problems with writing are addressed, as well as how to fix them. Focus is on the craft of writing, including how to write a strong, tight sentence, the importance of active voice, and using accessible, plain language.

Effective Research Dissemination

What is the most effective way to disseminate research so that it has a positive impact sooner? In this presentation, Marrianne reviews the Value Added Dissemination Framework and looks at how Chapin Hall has applied this to effectively disseminate research over the last 10 years. She also reviews the top problems with research writing and how to solve them.
